THE CRUSIUS STORY CRUSIUS was incorporated in 1996 by a small group of young entrepreneurs. The average age of the founding members at the time was 23. In 1997, the company started its operation by teaching evening classes at several Swiss colleges. In late 1998, CRUSIUS expanded its activities to consulting services in the areas of business development, marketing strategy, project management, process engineering and information management. The company grew constantly and expanded its network of freelances (the number of fixed staff always remaining at a minimum). While most of the projects were carried out in Switzerland, CRUSIUS also had branches in the USA (for IT solutions development), Panama (for IPR trading), Germany (for consulting services) and Iceland (for executive education). In addition to consulting and education, CRUSIUS had a third field of business interest. Over the years, the company published some of the lecture notes of its partners and associates in books and as posters. Today, part of the published material is still available. In its six years of existence, CRUSIUS realized numerous projects large and small, of which multi-million USD ones with up to 50 project collaborators. Among others, renowned Swiss customers in the fields of consultancy and education included AKAD, BLS, Coop, Der Bund Verlag, Migros, RBA Holding, SAWI, City of Bern, WISS and ZKB. With the founding partners looking for new directions in their personal development, CRUISUS closed its doors in December 2002. Overall, CRUSIUS was active in five countries and successfully realized over 50 consultancy projects between 1996 and 2002. Today, all the founding members are employed at Swiss companies or educational institutions. January 2003
